2114 Senior Manager, Accountant
Duties:
Manage the Corporate Consolidation function, leveraging the Oracle R12 GL module and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
The role will partner closely with the global Accounting, Treasury, Tax, and Financial Planning teams to coordinate the global financial consolidation and US GAAP financial statement reporting and analysis.

This position will lead continued process, reporting, and internal control enhancements and require close collaboration with Regional Finance, Technical Accounting, Treasury, Tax, and FP&A teams.
The successful candidate will have experience in corporate and general ledger accounting with a proven acumen for managing and reporting financial data.
Understanding SOX controls related to reporting and systems is critical to success in this role.
The successful candidate must effectively communicate information (conceptual, technical, operational), foster relationships across the organization, and demonstrate strong analytical skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
This individual contributor role reports to the Associate Director, Intercompany and Consolidation.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage global consolidation process across all legal entities.
Actively liaise with FP&A, Regional Accounting, and SEC Reporting on reporting requirements.
Work with Regional and Technical Accounting to record/report non-routine transactions.
Provide accounting and reporting guidance to Regional Accounting teams for GL close.
Assist with internal and external audits.
Manage the GAAP classification process.
Perform ERP administrative tasks (e.g., maintain manager posting limits, delete unposted journal entries, monitor, and delete records in the GL interface table, fix corrupted Balances, add a missing FX rate, rereview COA audit report, COA local to GAAP mapping, CMAAR Med Affairs Allocation, etc.)
Review account reconciliations and SEC supporting schedules Actively support further development of the Finance Department’s financial reporting strategy.
Educate the global accounting organization on available reporting functionality.
Prepare and distribute the monthly and quarterly US GAAP financial statement package.
Participate in the preparation of the quarterly Audit Committee slide deck.
Prepare, monitor, and maintain the post-close adjustments tracker and bridge reporting.
Support the consolidated FX analysis in the financial close and review process.
Prepare ad hoc analytics as needed to support Finance leadership.
As an integral part of the role, evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls for areas directly owned to ensure that they are working effectively and for proposed improvements to support the evolving accounting environment.
Skills:
Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounting.
3+ years’ experience at a public accounting firm is desirable.
Experience working across Finance and Accounting to understand activities that derive accounting conclusions.
Have a strong understanding and application of US GAAP in all significant accounting areas and ensure compliance of processes to GAAP.
Demonstrate and maintain a positive customer service focus for internal and external customers.
Strong communication skills with experience in educating and influencing people at various levels in the Finance organization.
Willingness and ability to work hands-on, collaboratively, and with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, and HFM preferred).
Experience managing the global financial consolidation of a multi-entity, multi-currency organization.
General accounting and accounting system experience in a complex environment.
Experience challenging accounting processes and assumptions.
Ability to apply internal control objectives to accounting processes.
Proven record of leading projects to a successful conclusion.
Education:
Bachelor’s in accounting or business Administration or Finance with an Accounting emphasis preferred. Certified Public Accountant experience preferred.
The hiring range for this position is $83 to $93 per hour. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity, and may also vary depending on candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience amongst other factors.
