6848 Business Analyst III
Summary:
Enables the company’s End to End Supply Chain and solves information problems and requirements by analyzing pharmaceutical bulk drug-substance production, quality, raw material and supply chain requirements; by designing and maintaining site SAP Master Data; and providing data analysis of supply chain-related operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Leads/ partners with internal and external stakeholders within Materials Management/Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Technology, Quality and Finance organizations to control the production
master data lifecycle in SAP; design, develop, deploy, maintain, optimize, audit, and retire.
Maintains a high-level understanding of the data related business processes and systems within/
outside the ERP system landscape to ensure SAP data domain compliance.
Lead a data domain and support creating, modifying and maintaining of other SAP Master Data
domains/Objects related to production and raw material masters, Recipes, Bill of Materials,
Resources, COA Profiles, Inspection Plans and Characteristics, as well as other Info Record Data
and ancillary support data.
Improves data structure quality and supply chain process (planning, shipping, etc.) efficiency by
studying current practices and designing data structure modifications.
Own/support enterprise-wide SAP projects; participate in site user testing; provide user
requirements review and input.
Proactively identifying problems and own solutions for improving written procedures, business
process instructions, workflows and training materials related to the Maintain Master Data
business unit.
Lead projects to determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering.
information; evaluating output requirements and formatting data sets to meet these needs.
Define, monitor, and report out on project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases,
and elements required to implement/modify associated master data.
Executes work in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, regulations,
and documentation.
Prepares technical reports for production and supply chain stakeholders by collecting, analyzing,
and summarizing transactional information and trends.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing professional networks; benchmarking industry practices.
Work independently on routine and non-routine production campaign-based activities; support the
site Impact Projects under direction of manager or project lead.
Education:
BA/BS degree in computer science, supply chain, business, or engineering fields, or AS with equivalent work experience (6+ years), or Direct work experience within the biotech, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing (10+ years).
Experience (may vary depending on site size/scope) 6+ years of GMP experience in a biotech, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing environment.
5-10 years of experience in managing product/material master data within SAP.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:
Experience with use of computer-based systems, in a validated environment.
Require prior direct SAP system (preferably R3P) use experience (ie – as end user, developing
data, etc.).
Able to organize large sets of electronic data in spreadsheets and databases.
Possesses good problem solving, interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), team, and
customer service skills.
Able to partner with a variety of internal and external customers and partners, such as Supply
Chain, Manufacturing, Technology, Quality and Finance departments.
Exercises independent judgment and discretion to solve a variety of problems of moderate scope
and complexity.
Consistently model behaviors that reinforce safety in the workplace.
APICS certification preferred.
Knowledge and practical application of Lean and/or Six Sigma methodology preferred.
Self-starter who takes personal accountability for delivering team outcomes and models high
professional standards for self, and supports a speak-up/ psychologically safe work culture.
Work Environment/Physical Demands/Safety Considerations:
Standard office environment.
The hiring range for this position is $47 to $57 per hour. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity, and may also vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience amongst other factors.
