7392 Automation Specialist

The Company’s Engagement & Infrastructure team (E&I) supports the broader Public Policy department that shapes the legislative, regulatory, and reputational environment in which our business operates.
Each of those groups has various data infrastructures and tooling needs to effectively engage with hosts, guests, politicians, regulators, and opinion leaders.
E&I’s technology stack leverages a combination of internal and external products that collectively inform the Policy team’s strategies and scale our messaging around fair short-term-rental regulations.

The E&I Automation Specialist is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving upon workflows that efficiently transmit data across Policy’s tech stack.
By developing new robust no-code integrations that connect internal data and third-party tools, data will be accurately surfaced to the right audience at the right time.
The role will ensure that our colleagues in Policy Campaigns (Government Affairs), Paid Media, Data Science, Compliance and Comms can lean on our tooling to enhance their insights and rapidly deploy external messaging.
This role will report to the Senior Manager, Marketing Operations on E&I who is the primary automation architect and strategic owner of technology operations for Public Policy.
Together, they will expand upon the current automations built via external middleware (Tray.IO) and internal middleware (Retool).
A Typical Day:
Ensure the automated workflows across various external tools like Salesforce CRM, Iterable, Asana, Airtable, Google forms and others are stable and supported through robust quality systems and monitoring practices.
Under the leadership of and in collaboration with the Senior Manager, Marketing Operations develop and optimize new automations focused on Policy operations and marketing.
Collaborate with the government affairs (Campaigns), Cities, Compliance, and Advocacy teams to understand their day-to-day process challenges/inefficiencies. Translating colleagues’ needs into opportunities for automation.
Work with the E&I Global Policy outbound communications team to improve on their existing automated intake and production processes.
Create documentation/resources to allow seamless handoff of automations to other people/teams.
Collaborating with E&I Training and Support Manager to produce internal training on automated workflow best practice.
Skills:
Expertise in implementing/scaling/customizing workflows in iPaaS systems, e.g., tray.ai, make.com, zapier, etc. Tray.ai preferred.
Experience building intuitive and scalable approaches interconnecting marketing, operations, project management and CRM systems.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data quality, governance, and system reliability.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders and conveying complex technical concepts effectively.
Flexibility and innovative thinking to evaluate and incorporate new technologies and methodologies to improve data processes and solutions.
Experience designing and running QA tests, anticipating and correcting potential failure points before they arise.
Ability to prioritize work to meet diverse and sometimes conflicting stakeholder needs and deadlines.
The hiring range for this position is $38 to $48 per hour. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity, and may also vary depending on candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience amongst other factors.
