Summary:
The Data Architect will be responsible for guiding and deploying solutions for customers pertaining to the structure, integration, monitoring, storage, and governance of data.
The candidate should possess experience in creating data pipelines and flows between business applications and data repositories.
A technical and business acumen, particularly concerning industry-leading deployments of Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, Data Marts, and the progression of data from raw/bronze to curated/gold environments, is essential.
Expertise in high transaction volume deployments is mandatory.
Additionally, an understanding of Data Modeling, tabular object model, or semantic layer development, as well as Microsoft Power BI capabilities, is advantageous.
The role also involves serving as an advisor and partner in the deployment of our business applications and managing migrations/integrations with other business systems.
The candidate must be self-directed and capable of influencing and leading key SME teams to meet the data needs of various customer types, teams, systems, and products.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required, along with the ability to confidently present and defend assessments, designs, approaches, and technology decisions.
A natural curiosity and a focus on technology are vital for success.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders and data scientists to design, develop, and implement efficient and scalable data pipelines within the company’s data environment.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business stakeholders to comprehend their data requirements and identify high impact use cases for data.
Design, develop, and implement efficient and scalable data pipelines utilizing Enterprise Data Platforms.
Construct robust and reusable data pipelines that comply with the best practices and coding standards.
Work with data scientists to prepare data for machine learning models.
Create and integrate Python scripts and SQL queries for data analysis.
Use tools like AWS, S3, Azure Data Bricks and other cloud platforms for data storage and integration.
Monitor and maintain data pipelines, addressing issues as they arise.
Document pipelines and processes for effective communication and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
12+ years of varied experience implementing all aspects of Data Management – Data / Big Data, Quality, Data Modeling, Data Governance, Data Integration / ETL, Metadata Management and Data Security.
10+ years of enterprise experience working with data architecture efforts with subject matter authorities from varying technology and business disciplines.
5+ years of experience strategizing and implementing end-to-end Data Warehouses with strong SQL knowledge and leveraging technologies such as SSIS, Power BI, Tableau, ThoughtSpot
At least 4+ years in the financial industry.
Compatible domain experience will be considered.
With 2+ years leading distributed teams and working in cloud data environments.
Proven success in planning, influencing, and leading initiatives across engineering and business organizations.
Prior experience migrating from on premises platforms to cloud.
Strong SQL knowledge, Open Source, performance optimization, data catalog, data lineage, critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication.
Bachelor’s degree required, master’s preferred.
Preferred:
Cloud data architect related certificates (e.g., Azure, Data Bricks Microsoft , AWS).
Certification in data architecture/data management (e.g., TOGAF, DAMA) modeling tools a plus.
The hiring range for this position is $69 to $79 per hour. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity, and may also vary depending on candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience amongst other factors.
