Sustainability Engineer
Responsibilities Includes:
Working with the Technical Engineering team and Project Management Teams to support CEF energy-related project(s) and/or program(s) to reduce carbon footprint and energy costs and improve energy efficiency of selected existing facilities.
Participation in Request for Proposal (RFP) process defining SOW for engineering company executing projects, participation in interviews and final selection.
Be engaged from project inception to completion and participate in project(s) meetings, milestone reviews and reviews of proposed options.
Review projects to align with Sustainability Guidelines GSS 01.
Participate in OAC meetings, perform job walks and provide field observation reports.
Collaborate with automation team on trend data monitoring requirements.
Participate in SATs (site acceptance testing) and Cx activities.
Works with end users from cross functional teams to support sustainability initiatives.
Carbon reduction and energy efficiency measures include but are not limited to:
BMS controls optimization.
Lab ACH reduction and optimization.
HVAC heating and cooling operations and controls optimization.
HVAC heat recovery opportunities (Air/Water).
Electrification and displacement of existing gas-fired heating systems.
Office HVAC ventilation optimization.
Must Have Experience:
Demonstrated ability to effectively work in cross functional teams, meet deadlines, and prioritize multiple projects.
Able to apply process principles and analysis, including design of experiments, in order to resolve processing issues and evaluate process improvement opportunities.
Experience working in a self-driven, performance/results oriented, fast paced matrix environment.
Able to creatively manage project resources, negotiate favorable outcomes, and elevate relevant issues to project lead and management.
Strong technical mastery including superior technical writing and presentations.
Familiarity with cGMP and FDA guidelines is a plus.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical).
Energy Certified professional is desired.
Compensation Range: $70.00 to $90.00/hr (based on experience level)
