This will include the design and development of electrical equipment, components, and building systems.

Electrical Engineer Job Duties:
Perform electrical design utilizing AutoCAD and Revit.
Perform T24 energy compliance calculations/documentation.
Conduct field surveys of existing electrical systems.
Perform power distribution design.
Perform lighting distribution design.
Design fire alarm systems.
Knowledge of and design for low voltage systems, including phone, data, intercom/PA, surveillance, intrusion, access, sound, CATV, and similar systems.
Select electrical equipment.
Perform submittal and shop drawing reviews; ensure accurate, timely responses to RFI’s.
Document changes and clarifications to scope, schedule, and budget; advise project team.
Review data and prepare recommendations, summaries, and cost estimates for consideration by senior engineers and/or managers.
Write technical reports to document engineering analysis and findings.
Conduct feasibility studies for proposed equipment and systems.
Assist senior engineer(s) in reviewing design and development plans and/or cost estimates.
Evaluate engineering proposals and specifications.
Conduct on-site technical visits during construction. Monitor field installation and testing.
Perform submittal reviews and ensures timely response to RFIs.
Acts as a technical advisor to junior professional staff assigned to the project(s).
Coordinate, support, and communicate with colleagues across disciplines and receive direction from project leads.
Attends and is an active participant in the design and construction project team meetings.

Minimum of 5 years of electrical design experience for consulting engineer or design-build contractor.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) Certification, preferred.
