Electrical Designer
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in design of industrial electrical power, distribution, lighting, and/or control systems
Experience with 120/480VAC power and lighting design, and motor control circuit/schematics
Familiar with industry standards, such as the National Electrical Code
Familiar with conduit, wire, breaker sizing calculations
Familiar with routing cable tray in complex industrial process units
Able to work in refinery and other industrial production facilities
Skilled at reading and working with all types of electrical drawings and documentation, including but not limited to:
Process and Instrumentation Diagrams
Motor control and wiring schematics
Switchgear control and wiring schematics
Single line drawings
Electrical grounding, power, and lighting plan drawings
Electrical hazardous area classification drawings
Installation details
Heat tracing design and drawings
Knowledge of the following software:
ACAD rev. 20014, Raster Design, and Navisworks
Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Application software such as lighting & heat trace design
Responsibilities
Work with project electrical engineering to prepare electrical drawings and documentation
Develop drawings following client format and industry standards
Be able to perform site visits to visually verify existing conditions and plan new work
Be able to coordinate with client and construction representatives
Be able to work within and manage a given project scope, schedule, and budget.
