Downstream Process Engineering
Duties:
This is a contractor position in Manufacturing Sciences and Technology (MSAT), Downstream Process Engineering.
Process Engineering supports daily large-scale manufacturing operations, equipment specification, process monitoring, and tech transfers from internal and partner sites.
This position will include collaborative efforts across the site with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Manufacturing, Automation, and Validation.
Significant opportunities for technical growth exist in addressing complex new problems, setting up standards and supporting key deliverables in biologics manufacturing, including new molecule modalities.
The team is composed of Scientists and Engineers in a highly dynamic environment and lots of interactions across a variety of projects.
Skills:
The ideal candidate should have strong engineering principles and a great motivation to work with new tools, deliver solutions using technical knowledge and data analysis.
The candidate should have a passion for curiosity, excitement to explore and learn new fields, and the drive to be a champion in providing manufacturing and engineering solutions.
Time could include experimental work in laboratory or plant settings, designing and analyzing experiments, recording and managing data.
Other skills include strong problem solving and the ability to work independently and in teams.
The candidate should be highly motivated and have good interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills.
Prior experience in downstream monoclonal antibody development, manufacturing, manufacturing support, or process validation desired.
Flexibility to support manufacturing operations during non-business hours required.
Education:
Bachelor’s of science in Engineering required, preferably Chemical or Mechanical.
