Construction Planner
Description:
This role is to extend the project support services for the Company within the Construction department. These projects require a qualified and competent project team to assist the Construction department with their growing project portfolio.
Specific duties and responsibilities for the Capital Construction Planner may include the following:
Perform complex scheduling, planning, analysis, record keeping, forecasting and other management reporting related to the Capital Construction Portfolio
Presenting data to group management
Identifying and implementing methodology of interfacing Resource Data Base (RDB) with P6 to allow for resource impacts using actual and “what-if” scheduling analyses
Analyzing data from both the Look Ahead Schedule and the RDB to identify and then report on changes and potential District conflicts
Coordinating with resource forecasting by sharing resource data base information with other groups outside of track allocation
Create, assist, prepare and track schedule against Work Order utilizing Maximo
Implement/Reserve inventory material through MAXIMO work order process
Coordinate schedule look ahead by program/portfolio
Make recommendations for action and assists in policy and procedure implementation
Provide resource, manpower and equipment supply and demand forecasting, using graphs and charts to represent relationship of demand to supply, by interfacing with Program Managers, group managers and project managers
Prepare, update, and distribute short, medium- and long-term Look-ahead schedules
Regular updating of Look Ahead Schedule changes in RDB and reporting changes
Coordinate with resource forecasting by sharing resource data base information with other groups outside of Capital Construction and Capital Strategic Scheduling
Attending weekly and monthly coordination meetings
All work will be driven through MAXIMO and the System Access/Track Allocation process
Makes recommendations for action and assists in policy and procedure implementation
Other tasks as directed by the Company
Knowledge of:
Principles and techniques of Primavera (P6) scheduling
Operating computerized maintenance scheduling, tracking and reporting systems through MAXIMO (or similar)
Principles of project lifecycle, from project scoping & design through execution and closeout
Critical Path Method
Manual and computerized maintenance scheduling, tracking and reporting systems and their operation
Development of an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and managing schedules at a program/portfolio level
Understanding and execution of strategic planning, short-term, mid-range and long-range planning

Compensation Range: $45 – $75/hr
