Accounting Technician
Job Description:
This position will work with other payroll staff to prepare and process biweekly payroll.
This includes but not limited to timekeeping update, retroactive payment, and adjustments, garnishment setup, workers compensation overpayment, timesheet review and correction, etc.
Experience expectations listed below:
High school diploma or general education development test (GED) and four years of increasingly responsible, relevant experience; completion of two years full time accredited college work in accounting or related business field may be substituted for one year of related experience.
MSOffice Knowledge (Intermediate Level).
Excel experience (Intermediate Level).
Peoplesoft (Updates employee data in payroll and timekeeping systems).
Customer Service (Responds to inquiries regarding payroll policies and procedures, timekeeping, time entry system, and technical problems).
Detail Orient required.
Minimum of 5 years of Payroll experience and experience working with Peoplesoft
Min 4 years administrative office experience and other related Accounting Technician job duties as required.
Valid CA driver license.
Compensation Range: $34.00 to $40.00/hr
