Description:
The Mental Health Initiative’s mission is:
To drive awareness and provide resources to support employees’ mental health across the entire US organization.
Our goal is to ensure every US-based employee knows how to notice the signs of mental health distress, start a conversation, and access the necessary resources, without any negative impact from stigma.
Drive priorities and goals to expand the organization’s mental health strategy through partnerships, stakeholder management, promotions, and communication.
Partner with the US Well-being strategy and other stakeholders as appropriate (Live Well, EHS / SHE, K1A5) to understand and collaborate across leading practice / offerings.
Communicate the MHI strategy, obtain buy-in, and help ensure follow through in obtaining the information necessary to measure the success of the initiative.
Understand what mental health resources exist throughout the Company to be able to outline them to US and Global teams and leaders.
Decrease stigma by educating US teams about mental health and mental illness.
Support US and global managers by providing education, resources, and encouraging self-care consistent with local promotions.
Duties:
Organize and lead project teams to execute project plans, ensuring project goals and objectives are met.
Work with key stakeholders to capture project objectives and oversee quality control throughout implementation.
Represent and advocate for our employees’ mental health needs, regardless of location, race, age, gender or preference.
Partner with site leadership to ensure mental health resources align with local needs.
Design activities/events that drive awareness, create open dialog and align with our employment practices.
Support a collaborative and inclusive approach ensuring the belonging of everyone.
Cascade relevant MHI information to local Champions.
Fulfill the responsibilities listed for Champions (educate employees on our MH resources, look for opportunities to embed mental health information in day-to-day meetings, events, trainings, projects, etc.).
Reduce stigma through presentations to the business, teams, and departments.
Increase participation in the Mental Health Champion Network.
Strengthen relationships between Mental Health Champions by providing an opportunity to network and learn from each other. Increase utilization in our mental health and resilience programs.
Improve the conversation around mental health.
