7333 Lab Technician I

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will work in an analytical lab assisting a research scientist by preparing dilutions, setting up equipment and samples for analysis, and processing of data.
The main function of a lab technician is to perform routine laboratory tests for the characterization of petroleum and petroleum products.
A typical lab technician may work under the supervision of a research scientist.

Assignment Deliverables:
Report out, data with turnaround time of 2 days.
Assist the research scientist with special projects as needed.

Required Qualifications:
0-2 years experience required.
Familiarity with analytical equipment such as gas chromatographs and mass spectrometers.
Proficient in Excel.
Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Basic ability to analyze data and accurately document and record results.

Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with NMR and Matlab.
