6261 Small Molecule Analytical Chemistry, Quality and Instrument Technician
This position provides support for documentation, change control, instrument maintenance and qualification.
Provide support to multiple laboratories located in different buildings by ordering supplies, coordinating vendor visits with facilities and vendors, and help maintain GMP status for instruments.
Provide documentation support in the form of proof-reading, document control (Condor), and technical writing
Act as a Change Owner (Trackwise) to create change control records for Small Molecules equipment and documents
Support special projects and investigations as needed
Independently manage time to ensure on-time completion of all routine activities related to instrument lifecycle (e.g., preventative maintenance activities) and change records. Participate in system to monitor lifecycle activities of instrumentation.
Initiate and maintain lifecycle of multiple analytical instruments that are used in testing small molecules. The lifecycle includes initial qualification, calibration, preventative maintenance, and decommissioning of analytical instrumentation.
Ensure all work is completed efficiently under GMP compliance to maximize operations.
B.S./B.A in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Analytical Sciences and 1+ years of relevant experience
Experience in the qualification, calibration, maintenance of GMP instrumentation including, but not limited to, HPLC, GC, LCMS, dissolution testers, titrators, and FTIR.
Experience with Document Control processes and Condor preferred
Experience with Change Records (Trackwise) strongly preferred
Demonstrated history of implementing process improvements
Strong attention to detail
Ability to think and act independently when performing routine tasks
Leadership experience in a highly collaborative team environment (academic or work)
Experience serving and developing a strong strategic partnership with clients
Strong computer, scientific and organizational skills. Strong Windows OS and permissions skills a plus.
Excellent communication (oral and written); excellent project management skills including the ability to manage project resource requirements (material, personnel resource, time, etc.), and ability to recommend and elevate relevant issues to appropriate leadership
Ability to work independently and as part of a team with internal and external clients, self motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
