6020 HSE Advisor/Specialist V

Duties:
The person in this position will undertake work involving environmental regulatory compliance for a downstream facility in the oil and gas industry.
Working with highly collaborative teams, this person will assist clients with environmental compliance for air, water, and waste – with a focus on air.
Primary responsibilities include reviewing operational functions and activities to verify that appropriate actions are undertaken to maintain compliance with regulations and permit requirements.
Additional responsibilities include data review, compliance reporting, maintaining client relationships, and advising clients on applicability of regulations and compliance strategies.
This position interfaces with regulatory agencies and coordinates meetings.

Day-to-day
Reviewing work orders, audits, and following through with any actions or tasks. Lots of regulations and compliance with policy and permits.

Preferred Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical, or environmental engineering, or related science degree.
Oil and gas industry professional experience – Downstream facility preferred.
Professional experience with local and federal regulations – CA and Bay Area given preference.

The following skillsets are required:
Compliance reporting with intermediate Excel skills.
Fluent in MS Suite.
Good communication skills, follow-up, and tracking.
Analytical/Critical thinking skills.
Technical writing.
