5693 Channel Inventory Manager
Description:
Channel Operations provides a variety of inventory management services to both internal partners/stakeholders as well as all channel customers, such as project management for distribution and customer changes, ad-hoc and project-related inventory analysis, and product ordering & distribution.
Key Responsibilities/Tasks
Providing outstanding customer service to all external customers and internal partners/stakeholders in product order, shipment, and other related inventory order management needs; with particular emphasis and responsibilities for proactive inventory management to IMA terms, ensuring both customer and compliance.
Responsible for managing product orders as these relate to the inventory management program and accountable for decisions made regarding recommendations to reduce and/or release customer orders.
Instrumental participation in quarterly close and year-end processes, with accountability for end-of-period channel inventory as measured against days-on-hand targets.
Acting as a specialist point-of-contact for external channel customers, other related external parties, as well as various internal partners/stakeholders.
Responding to ad hoc or other inquiries from external customers, other related external parties, and/or internal partners/stakeholders.
Ensuring assigned goals and objectives are met and that assigned projects and other work are completed on time, to high standards, and within budget.
In addition to daily order management responsibilities, this role will support the CIM team with reviewing and refining internal data, reporting, business processes and policies, and procedures as well as external communications.
You will also be asked to participate in various teams, and/or complete special projects, such as participating in cross-functional or other project teams that support distribution changes, product launches, and/or brand initiatives, that will help further the success of Channel Inventory Management, the broader Channel Operations function, Channel and Contract Management (CCM), Access & External Affairs, or overall.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is preferred and a minimum of 4-8 years of related work experience, i.e., customer service, inventory order management, preferably gained within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology industry.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
Knowledge of the managed care environment and the distribution channel as these relate to pharmaceutical/biotechnology organizations.
Outstanding customer service skills: as evidenced through previous work experience and accomplishments
Excellent partnering skills: works collaboratively, effectively, and efficiently with internal and external partners/stakeholders.
Knowledge of the systems, business analysis, and reporting mechanisms that support inventory management particular to the pharmaceutical/biotechnology or related industry.
Strong analytical capabilities & skills, including business and financial acumen sufficient for analysis of quantitative and qualitative data, as well as the ability to extrapolate meaning from such analytics.
Database/computer systems experience, strong computer, and data entry/management skills, e.g., strong proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Outstanding attention-to-detail.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong time management & organizational skills.
