5616 Logistics Specialist
Main Purpose of the Position:
The Logistics Specialist supports the production operations through efficient material movement, product handling and production area cleaning for Commercial Value Streams and relevant stakeholders across Technical Operations.
Responsibilities also include the interfacing with materials management and quality control operations to ensure that all material and sample movements and handling are completed in both a safe and compliant manner.

Adhere to good documentation practices.
Perform cleaning and housekeeping duties as required.
Support environmental monitoring activities in the manufacturing areas as required.
Perform material movements using automated computer software applications (SAP and MES systems).
Prior to start-up, during processing, and at the completion of the manufacturing process, perform documentation and clerical functions to provide the proper accountability and traceability of components and finished product.
At the start and finish of each shift, report and make recommendations regarding equipment, supplies, required repairs, process concerns, safety concerns, and areas for improvement in reliability, yield, and efficiency.
Work effectively and efficiently in a team-oriented environment to ensure maximum and high-quality output.
Learner of the Lean Production System and Agile Ways of Working.
Assist in the development of plant SOP’s and training materials.
Perform training of other Logistics Specialist.
Practitioner of Lean Production System and Agile Ways of Working.
Basic troubleshooting of logistics problems and automated systems (SAP and MES).
Effectively deliver and receive verbal communication within shift, across shifts, to support groups, and potentially Site leadership if needed.
Capable of updating quality documents.
Technical writing capabilities.
Qualifications / Requirements:
2 years of work experience with a minimum of 1 year experience working within a manufacturing or manufacturing logistics environment.
Proficiency in the English language – reading, writing, and communication.
Must be able to work all shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd), required overtime as needed, able to lift 45 pounds, and stand for extended periods of time.
Must be computer literate, including ability to interface with computer systems and PLC-based logic.
Must be comfortable working with Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), navigating through web pages and e-mail.
Must possess basic typing skills.
Must pass a vision acuity and color discrimination test.
Must complete periodic physical examinations to identify medical conditions which pose a risk to Grade C or higher operation.
Education:
High school diploma or relevant work experience equivalent.
Graduate of a two-year Associate’s Degree program in a science or engineering technology program is a plus.
