5293 Research Technician III
We are looking for a self-motivated Scientific Researcher to help optimize protocols for organoid culture and single cell genomic experiments.
Responsibilities include general molecular biology involving isolation, manipulation, and characterization of DNA and RNA from various clinical and non clinical samples.
Next generation sequencing library preparation and sequencing experience with RNAseq, single-cell RNAseq, and whole exome sequencing preferred.
The Scientific Researcher performs laboratory-based activities and processes related to the tracking, inventory, preparation (e.g. DNA/RNA extractions) and transport of biological samples from clinical and non-clinical trials.
This includes handling of associated metadata, coordination and execution of manual/and or automated sample processing workflows, request evaluation and ensuring that lab activities fulfill customer needs while achieving operational excellence in quality, service levels, cost and compliance.
Scientific Researcher conduct experiments that address critical findings from analytical data anomalies that are potentially sample-related and contribute to the results interpretation, issue identification and to the authorship of final reports.
Research experience in an academic and/or industry labs.
Hands-on skills expertise in a variety of molecular biology skills including Tissue culture, Flowcytometry, PCR, sequencing, expertise working with complex protocols, DNA/RNA isolation from various human bispecimens, experience working with 96/384 well plate-based protocols.
Multi-color Flow cytometry experience is a plus.
Demonstrated independence in experimental design, execution, data analysis and troubleshooting required.
Demonstrated experience in utilizing a variety of analytical platforms and instrumentation (such as liquid handling and automation, automated nucleic acid purification solutions, microarray scanner). Prior experience with Microarray or Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) is a plus.
Attention to detail with excellent organizational and record keeping skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with people, internally and externally.
Bachelors degree (BSc.) in Biotechnology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or Biochemistry with 5 years of academic or industry lab experience. (after graduation).
Or a Masters (MS) degree preferred, in Biotechnology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or Biochemistry with 3 years of academic or industry lab experience. (after graduation)
