5030 Web Remediation Software Engineer

Duties:
The Tax Platform team owns global tax products such as Value Added Taxes (VAT), Transient Occupancy (TOT), and Tax Withholding across the following pillars: tax quotation, tax user data, invoicing and reporting.
We seek product-aware frontend engineers who are thoughtful, creative, and passionate about building the best possible user experience.
We’re looking for someone who is not only well-versed in web frontend development but also has strong UX/product sensibilities and enjoys working closely with world-class designers, product managers, and data scientists.

Skills:
5+ years of software engineering experience preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals.
Fluency in HTML, CSS, and related web technologies.
Awareness of cross-browser compatibility issues and client-side performance considerations.
In-depth knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and modern JavaScript libraries and tooling (e.g. React). Familiarity with Graphql, and Kotlin (for middleware changes).
Interest in the innovations and latest trends in frontend development.
Robust design and UX/product sensibilities.
Strong analytical thinking and data-driven problem-solving ability.
Desire to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams with design, product, data science, and research partners.
Ability to take ownership and be accountable.
Ability to effectively communicate with non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to make architectural trade-offs applying design patterns and disciplined execution.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience (no less than 3 years).
