3552 Environmental Specialist
Summary:
The person in this position will undertake work involving environmental regulatory compliance for a downstream facility in the oil and gas industry.
Working with highly collaborative teams, this person will assist clients with environmental compliance and related technical assignments for different areas, including air, water, and waste.
Responsibilities:
Providing technical guidance and support for permits and helping build and maintain client relationships.
Review of operational functions and activities to verify that appropriate actions are developed and undertaken to achieve and maintain compliance.
Advising clients on the applicability of regulations to operations, developing compliance strategies, evaluation of alternatives, data review, and compliance reporting.
This position also interfaces with regulatory agencies and coordinates and facilitates meetings.
Education/Preferred Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical, or environmental engineering, or related science degree.
10-15 years of oil and gas industry professional experience working with local and federal regulations.
The following skillsets are required:
Compliance reporting with intermediate Excel skills.
Fluent in MS Suite.
Good communication skills, follow-up, and tracking.
Analytical/Critical thinking skills.
Technical writing.
