3299 Planning & Execution Manager – Oncology Hematology
Position Overview:
The Planning & Execution Manager – Oncology Hematology provides strategic thought partnership to USMA stakeholders, manages functional activities and facilitates multiple business processes required to ensure Oncology Hematology is able to successfully and compliantly execute on its strategic plans.
This is an individual contributor position.
Help shape the remit of teams by supporting formulation and operationalization of strategy/tactics, creating/facilitating communications between stakeholders, supporting 90-day priority development, facilitating annual strategic and tactical planning.
Lead teams through [medical or functional] activity planning, prioritization, conflict resolution, problem solving and risk management by providing facilitation, guidance, frameworks and/or methods that drive results.
Core Accountabilities:
Catalyze USMA, accountable for proactively identifying and removing barriers, realizing efficiencies and addressing evolving needs of the business.
Navigate and foster collaborations, external presentations, communications and Global/CMG connection.
Manage planning and ongoing tracking of resources and finances that enables Network/Team Leads and Work Product Owners to appropriately resource activities and provides appropriate financial line-of-sight to the business.
Manage business processes (contract process management, advisory board planning, congress planning, launch planning, etc.), providing guidance and support to USMA.
[Medical only] In collaboration with the Medical Network, define and execute aspects of scientific congress activities including but not limited to; medical/pipeline booth coordination and content/materials development, strategy development, relationship management, review of the scientific assets and post meeting follow-up.
Manage technology systems creation/maintenance/compliance – managing materials, updating content, resource list maintenance.
Support work-product teams with agile/scrum coaching, facilitation, team building optimization, problem solving and conflict resolution.
Foster enterprise connectivity through global partnership; connecting with Global Project Managers and CMG cross-functional partners.
Maintain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of relevant therapeutic and/or functional area strategies, tactics and ways of operating.
Act as a guardian for high standards of compliance, ethics and safety; putting the customer (patients, HCPs) first.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
Bachelor’s degree required (advanced degree such as PharmD, PhD, MBA degree is preferred).
5 or more years relevant experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology, preferably in Medical Affairs or project management.
Working knowledge of drug development/medical affairs; in depth knowledge and experience in product development, drug commercialization and healthcare/market landscape.
Demonstrate flexibility and an agile mindset – able to adapt in a regularly changing environment.
Strong problem-solving capabilities and skills.
Has demonstrated the ability to anticipate and solve problems of moderate complexity and scope e.g. evaluate, interpret and present complex data.
Strong interpersonal, partnering and influencing skills; can effectively and quickly establish rapport with all partners and stakeholders and influence without authority.
Evidence of exceptional facilitation skills, driving teams to effectively solve complex problems, resolve conflict and/or make decisions that drive the business forward.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, highly effective at summarizing information and tailoring messages towards a specific audience.
Strong business acumen: ability to integrate knowledge of pharmaceutical industry and drug development in development of strategy and plans, key competitors and marketplace factors/dynamics and assess impact to strategy, plans, activities.
Enterprise mindset: dedication to acting on behalf of the whole company, not just the group being supported.
Proficiencies with various project management systems and software/programs is a plus.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks to conclusion, on time and without compromising quality.
Track record of effectively working within a highly matrixed organization and cross functional teams and collaborating with others internally and externally.
Business travel, by air or car is required for regular internal and external business meetings.
Ability to embrace and believe in the Company’s operating principles.
