Description:
The Project Facility Engineer (FE) is responsible for delivering quality facility projects, from alternative analysis through commissioning and start-up, on schedule and within budget.
They follow an fit-for-purpose Facilities Design and Construction OE process for small projects.
The Project FE position manages an average of 5 to 7 projects in up to 3 different assets.
Project scopes range from facilities to support new well packages, as well as improvements and expansions in existing oil, water, and gas plants.
The Project FE performs both basic in-house engineering and also assures technical quality of engineering consultant deliverables.
This position also collaborates with process and reliability engineers, construction, operations, subsurface development and others to assure their project planning and execution efforts results in meeting business objectives.
8-10 years of experience.
Skills:
Project Management Knowledge
Experience in opportunity shaping, planning, and executing brownfield projects through all CPDEP phases.
Demonstrated application of the Facility Design and Construction OE process on small projects. Demonstrated ability to deliver results on many different, simultaneous efforts and prioritize work with most business impact.
Engineering and Design Experience
Experience in in-house engineering, phase 3 design, application of the Company’s technical codes and standards and working with 3rd party engineering contractors.
Demonstrated technical capabilities in one or more of the following FE areas: Steam Generation and Distribution; Produced water processing and treatment; Piping and Valves; Rotating Equipment; Pressure Vessels, Tanks, Fitness for Service; Material & Corrosion; and Pipelines.
Work with heavy oil facilities experiences a plus.
Teamwork
Proven ability to build relationships, align and inspire, and facilitate project interfaces to align and inspire toward “one team” business goals.
Typical project interfaces include operations, construction, asset development, and other FE teams. Effective verbal and written skills in all interactions.

Demonstrated ability to find creative, low cost solutions to minimize or eliminate project costs or other continuous improvement efforts that challenge paradigms and drive competitive performance. Demonstrated behaviors that focus on delivering minimum requirements for success and to eliminate non-value added work.
